Watermans™ was founded by surfers and triathletes who grew up in the sun, wind and waves. Along that journey, we discovered there wasn’t a sunscreen out there that could stand up to the demands of athletes and adventurers. So, we set out to make one.

We studied fishing guides, interviewed lifeguards, researched beach volleyball players, and generally hung out in the sun (it was a tough gig).  Then, along with dermatologists, we developed the Aqua-Armor™ system, and with it, launched the Watermans® line of products engineered for extreme endurance. Now, we’ve partnered with the suncare pros at SolRX to continue the journey into more countries.

We didn’t test Watermans AQUA-ARMOR™ to be effective versus sweat and water for 8 hours just for fun - we did it to keep you safe and healthy- all day.

We pushed ourselves to create products that exceed the next round of FDA sunscreen guidelines- setting a standard for the industry. Plus, everything we make has been reef-friendly from Day 1. After all, we want to help preserve the places we love to work and play.
